Skypecast project has been nominated in Internet Innovation of the Year category among 4 other candidates. So we had a chance to take a part of this show.
The event itself took a place in London Hilton on Park Lane. To be honest, my first reaction when I 
heard about place was to recall famous video with Paris Hilton acting. I did expect this hotel to be more fancy and modern but it turned out to be very tradition stylished and a bit old. But I get this feeling almost from every building in central London.
After arrival we (skype people) got some champaign and went on some chat waiting to be invited to be hall. Which happened quite soon actually. I was scanning around to see how modern cutting-edge technology people look like nowadays. A bit of disappointment – a lot of middle-aged guys in smokings talking quite loudly. No Linus Torvalds in his jeans and t-shirt.
As I am keen on cooking I made pictures of all courses served.
Basically event itself turned to be quite boring, even winner claiming although there was a try to make it Oscar-like. But thanks to my colleges I have had a great time.
